RADIOTHON

Variety, the children’s charity, the Crows and the Power invite South Australian businesses, schools and individuals to ‘kick in’ for SA’s children in need and help raise a quarter of a million dollars.

The Variety SANFL Kickin4Kids Radiothon presented by Yellow Corporation sees Variety, the children’s charity partner with the Crows and the Power to raise funds for children in need in South Australia.

The Radiothon will take place on Friday 18 July prior to Showdown 25 on radio station FIVEaa.

Funds raised from the Radiothon will be donated to childrens organisations to support ‘Kids Freedom and Mobility Programs’ through Variety, the children’s charity, the Crows Foundation and the Port Adelaide Football Club Foundation.

Hundreds of children every year deserve the chance to join in the life of their community and Kickin4Kids will do just this through the provision of funding for wheelchairs, leg splints, standing frames, prosthetics, car seats, vehicle conversions, wheelchair lifters and special support boots.

Healthy kids can be instrumental in raising funds for children less fortunate than themselves through the Variety SANFL Schools Kickathon which will be run in South Australian schools during June. We invite your school to help raise funds!

Many South Australian businesses, including wdm Advertising, Hyde Park Press, Line 1 Communications and Vodafone, together with media partner radio FIVEaa, have already committed to the Kickin4Kids Radiothon.

We also invite you to rally your friends and families to ‘Kick in 4 the kids’ by making a donation either online or direct to Variety, the children’s charity at PO Box 1235, Marleston SA 5033. You can also phone the hotline on 132 510 on Friday 18 July.

“As an AFL player I am in a privileged position where I can do something to help and that can mean little things like putting a smile on a child’s face. Making their day makes my day as well and I do it because I enjoy it and it has certainly made me a better person. I encourage everyone to join me and get behind this fantastic South Australian cause! Let’s make sure this year’s Radiothon raises even more funds for children in need across our wonderful State”.
